ADVD

The Anti-Discrimination Association Germany (ADVD) is an umbrella organization of independent anti-discrimination offices and advice centers, self-organizations and scientific institutions.

Its currently 30 member organizations from 12 federal states have many years of experience in anti-discrimination work.

All member organizations pursue a horizontal or cross-feature approach and understand discrimination as an intersectional or multi-dimensional phenomenon.

Since 2020, advd has formed the Competence Network Anti-Discrimination and Diversity Orientation (KNAD) together with Citizens for Europe and RAA Berlin. The competence network strengthens specialist discourses nationwide and disseminates concepts based on criticism of discrimination and equality. It is characterized by a power-critical, intersectional and structural understanding of discrimination that is directed against individual, institutional and structural discrimination at the same time.
