Beth Shalom Milan – Reformed Jewish Congregation
Whether you’re established in the area, just moved in, studying or visiting, Beth Shalom offers you a warm welcome.
Cambridge Beth Shalom is a community like no other – a thriving and amazingly diverse Reform community drawing members from the Cambridge area and visitors from all over the world. Services are weekly held on Shabbat morning, High Holy Days and festivals and, although no congregation can be all things to all people, at Beth Shalom we strive to accommodate the needs and wishes of our members while maintaining the sanctity of Jewish tradition.
Cambridge Reform Jewish Community was founded in October 1976 and Beth Shalom in 1981. However, the first permanent synagogue in Cambridge was opened in 2015, and many of the community functions and all services are now held there.
The Beth Shalom Reform synagogue is host to a wide variety of Jewish community activities including Choir, Dance, Charity, Drama Group, Book Group and Friends in Gardening.
A pre-cheder group for younger children and toddlers is run. A cheder is open to members’ children. Courses for adults are available (Hebrew and religious studies, Torah reading and conversion to Reform Judaism). There is also a library available in the Synagogue, and school visits can be organized to discover the Synagogue.
