Bluma Fiszer Senior Citizens’ House (MSC)
The mission of the Bluma Fiszer Senior Citizens’ Center in the 12th arrondissement is to create social links with vulnerable and isolated people, particularly Holocaust survivors.
A place to meet and share
At the MSC, seniors find a friendly space, they participate in the many activities, outings or workshops offered every day, or simply come to have a coffee or play cards with friends. The MSC regularly organizes trips for independent seniors.
Social, legal and psychological services are also offered.
Since 2020, the MSC Bluma Fiszer is available virtually and offers workshops and conferences via Zoom.
Intergenerational and Memory Program
Since 2009, the program From Mouth to Ear creates social ties by bringing together two very different generations: witnesses who speak – some for the first time – and students who discover unknown worlds and carry out a writing project by recording the survivors’ testimonies in a collection. Each year, this program is carried out in partnership with a school.
The collections of testimonies can be ordered from the publisher Le Manuscrit.
The videos of the meetings can be viewed online.
Discussion groups for Shoah survivors are offered, one for former deportees and the other for children hidden during the Second World War.
