Jewish Liberal Congregation – Or Chadasch

liberal Jewish community “haKochaw” for the Unna eV District is a members of the Union of Progressive Jews of Germany and the State Association of Jewish Communities of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Since 2007, the regular services of Kabbalath and Shacharit, as well as the celebration of Jewish parties, have been carried out with rabbinical or cantoral accompaniment. As a community , Or Chadash work contributing to the fight against antisemitism. Thanks to the funding of “Gescher” project by the Ministry of Children, Family, Refugees and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, theorganisation can carry out preventive work in the form of interreligious education and dialogue.

The community offers groups interested in experiencing Judaism closely offering guided tours of the liberal Synagogue of Unna Massen and face-to-face meetings with members of our community. The community allows for an age-appropriate discussion of religious, ethical and socio-political issues between generations.
