Liberal Jewish Community Hanover Etz Chaijm

As a member of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, the Liberal Jewish Community of Hanover stands for a cosmopolitan and dynamic Judaism rooted in tradition. The community teaches and practices a modern Judaism that ties in with the tradition of enlightened liberal Judaism in Germany.

In the Liberal Jewish Community of Hanover you will find a diverse Jewish life, tradition-conscious, tolerant and modern. Here you will meet Jewish people from 16 nations. Shabat and all holidays are celebrated solemnly and atmospherically. Here you will find cultural events: concerts, readings, exhibitions of Jewish artists. Hebrew classes, dance groups, a choir, other classes and numerous social activities for all ages are open to you. For children there is a day care center Tamar, a Sunday school, teenagers and young adults meet in the youth center. In the “Jewish Library Hannover” you will find literature on all topics of Jewish life.
