Technical University of Berlin

When the former Technical University was re-established as the Technical University of Berlin in 1946, the declared aim of a reorientation in educational policy was to align technological and scientific expertise with a humanistic horizon of values.

Today, the humanities faculty of the TU Berlin has also set itself the task of building bridges between the knowledge cultures of the humanities and the technical and natural sciences. The faculty understands its subject areas as “humanities in the technical-scientific world” and sees it as one of its central tasks to research the tense relationship between cultural and humanities and natural, technical and planning science, to network it in a future-oriented manner and to act on it convey.
