The Austrian Jewish Museum

The Austrian Jewish Museum was set up in a historic building in Eisenstadt's former Judengasse. It is therefore located in a place where a well-known Jewish community was settled for more than 250 years. The museum was founded in 1972 as the first Jewish museum in Austria after 1945.

During a visit you can not only see the oldest synagogue in Austria preserved in its original function and the museum collections, but also get an impression of the old 'Jewish houses' and the two Jewish cemeteries.
